I think we concur on this
Despite the headline-grabbing - er - headline, the thrust of the article agrees with your sentiment. Much of the code written at the moment is repetitive code stubs for integration purposes. Also, algorithmically speaking, much functionality has been duplicated and recreated just once too many times. I firmly believe it would be best to automate this stuff out of the way, and free up programming time to be used in more innovative ways.
