Double speak
If you haven't noticed, virtually every term we interpret according to the dictionary has been turned on its head by this administration. "conservative administration" is just another example. Conservative is the last thing this administration is. That's why the Republicans are complaining about getting bakc to their roots. Even their basic premises to work by have been hi-jacked and twisted to mean something else -- while most don't notice -- until it's too late to correct the problem. Wake up. When Bush uses the word "peace", I can guarantee that what we'll get is war and more war. When he talks about a "compassionate conservatism" we get torture instead. When he tries to convince us he's working so that "no child is left behind", all our kids are getting left behind in aces. Are you picking up the trend here? This is Karl Rove tactics which need to be recognized. When they use words, they mean the OPPOSITE of what you understand them to mean. When they use the word "freedom", they mean the opposite and are working -- as this discussion proves -- to strip every last freedom away we once had.
You are dealing with an administration that can't be trusted any more than you'd trust an aggitated den of rattle snakes.
I know a Russian guy who came over here, took a look at our situation (he still believed the propaganda about "freedom") and said: "We have more freedom in Russian", and turned around and went back to Russia.
The reason the founding fathers wrote the Constitution is to avoid the reoccurance the threats to our freedom that we're experiencing now. They expected us to remain "vigilant". We haven't.
I am just amazed at how the majority of people buy their garbage and double talk. The so-called "war on terror" is said to be a "new" kind of warfare, so therefore, we need to give up our rights and freedoms. This is pure BS. Terrorism is the first and original kind of warfare. This is how warfare was conducted for centuries before "modern" man decide to get "civilized" and write laws of conduct for warfare. Wake up. You're being mesmerized by lies 24/7/365.
NO government, anywhere, ever, can be trusted.
