Re: Security
"Well, in the terms of Buffer Overflows, .NET and Java are practically immune to buffer overflows, due to it being type-safe/. Only 32 bits are copied in an integer, etc.."

And buffer overflows are hte only security risk in Microsoft?

"Now calling "unmanaged code" in .NET can potentially open that door, but from what I've heard that will no longer be able to be done..."

I've heard a lot as well, including in this article. What have we actually seen? Well the actual seeing feature is not available on even a beta basis until mid '04, so maybe it's there, but thenagain, maybe not.

"Now, if Microsoft will only turn off unneeded services..."

Or quit loading unneeded programs.
