Ballmer's Daddy worked at Ford
Ford has long been Microsoft's testing ground. Ballmer's dad worked for the company. I see this news as struggle for Ballmer to find something successful from his presidency. But this Ford deal will not do, because it looks like nepotism and Ford isn't doing well. It doesn't pass the Spitzer ethics test.

Spitzer, a long time Microsoft adversary, BTW, did win governorship of New York. His calls for ethics reform in his state resonates for all government and private operations and US bar associations in the Post Abramoff/Preston Gates & Ellis world of 2007.

Lets put a positive spin on the article. The article says "an operating system" it doesn't say that operating system isn't SUSE Linux. Microsoft became one of if not the largest reseller of Linux with its 320,000 coupon Novell deal. Those apparently were snatched up by financial institutions in less than 30 days. Lets suppose Linux makes more sense in autos owing to that.
