I rely on Word catching my mistakes too much.

My point was, and still is, that the system is broken. MS and other large companies do indeed need to file for idiotic patents just to stay one step ahead of law suits. If the patent is granted, they are safe. If it is not, they are still safe. If they don't attempt, they are a big fat sitting target.

And as far as browsers go, Opera invented everything. Just ask someone who uses it...
