Actually, if you'll (for a second)
jump off the 'nothing is invented until Apple copies it' bandwagon, you'll note that many others have done such things prior.

Regardless, and somewhat back to the point, MS wins weather the patent is given or not. If it is, they own something (actually valueless, should it be challenged) that will prevent the blood sucking lawyers of another company from suing them. If it is rejected (hopefully), it will again prevent the blood sucking lawyers of another company from suing them.

I find it funny that, because the patent system is screwed up and companies like MS are forced into filing frivolous patents to protect themselves, people blame MS. The rules are out there for everyone, and it is not MS?s fault that they are as whacked as they are.
