People need to boycott these companies.
As long as people keep buying DRM infested stuff from these companies, whatever they are, BluRay players, CDs, Zunes, whatever, these companies thrive on.

No matter how shiny and nice their gadgets are it is up to the consumer to take her/his stand against these restrictive practices and monopolies like the RIAA/MPAA and just say no.

Want music? Don't buy DRM infested AAC/iTunes stuff, just buy the CD and rip in to 320kbps MP3's. Want CD's? Look carefully for copy protection nonsense. Want to use those infested CD's on your PC? Do what anyone with common sense would do - disable autoplay on windows. Sony doesn't allow you to play those CD's? Just rip them with one of the numerous CD rippers around.

It IS possible to stay safe and un-infested today and we just need to step up and do what's right to preserve our right to choice.
