Excellent. LoMaNoH may be in the race then!
Ever since I first heard about the DARPA challenge a couple years ago, I've been fascinated with it. Even took the trip out in 2005 to see the final event where Stanley won. What a rush! Since then I've been experimenting with a single high-resolution video camera and some algorithms to identify motion and determine the environment around a vehicle. Having some success, I turned in all the paperwork necessary to have a team this year, and we got accepted! But I must admit that I got cold feet when the prize money was unexpectedly pulled. Now that the financial incentive is back, our team will be pursuing the challenge in earnest. Here's our web page:

The vehicle is named "LoMaNoH", which is short for "Look Ma, No Humans!". (A name we picked for its humor, but also because no search engine came up with anything with that name, so it would be easy for us to Google and see everything people are writing about us.)

Wish us luck. We will need it.
