Searchers think they are nearing missing CNET editor

Shouldn't this be moved off the front page?

I guess we're seeing an inherent weakness in the voting system for stories - they can remain in the top rated stories on the home page long after their relevance has passed.

We all know the sad outcome of this one. Why hasn't ZDNet taken this off by now?

And on another note, is it really in good taste for ZDNet to make money off this story with targeted ads touting such things as:
