You said "It comes down to the fact that most users are lazy and don't understand the difference between one product to the other." You mean users don't have enough time to try out every product on the market? Or that their needs or abilities are so modest that IE and WMP do just what they need (check stock quotes and play MP3 or WMA files)? What if MS adds a halfway decent feature to XP to burn and copy CDs (beyond the lame system they have now)? After all, I think we'd agree that writing to disks is a basic function of the OS. Should Roxio and Nero, through the EU, have an opportunity to block such a feature from being added?
