for the target audience, the gamer looking for a game machine not a media hub/kitchen sink and a console that takes the interfacing with it to a new, maybe better interactive level, the WII seems to deliver. Sony has delivered a box that will ride the next 5 or more years, but will it be any more engaging, fun, or gathering new players to the console world. So far, it seems to have attracted the impatience and financially well to do (eBay), and Sony does have a lovely track record with its rootkits, price fixing, price gouging, RIAA membership, battery exploding to tack enough concerns over their media hub. Time will tell, but the WII looks like a clear winner on the game console front (especially with the catalog of games available for the old school to new school player).

It's all a choice. But I doubt its game over for Sony. They have to many market areas to have the PS3 sink them, . . batteries, cameras, tvs, computers, patents, television, movies, . . . the hydra is hard to destroy wink
