IP - should it be patentable
If IP is "virtual" and not real, then should it be patentable at all? Are patents protecting a thought process that has no realization except as a process that involves actions (e.g., the idiotic idea of patenting the round robin process of setting up a meeting (hi there, IBM)), or the equally vapid idea of skipping directly to purchase in an auction (good grief!) - what is being patented? These are different from a manufacturing process where something real is produced.
