Really...
"Sounds like a great idea in theory. Unfortunately it has no practical application."

Then how is it the Omish, 7th Day Adventists and several Mormon denominations are able to do so successfully? I am not promoting nor stating that religion is the answer. Only citing examples of what I have seen.

As for women returning home, who says the fathers can't be the ones at home while the wife is at work? And if the husband is abusive, there are laws now in place to remove him from the home. There is help out there, even if she doesn't ask you can step up to the plate and get it for her.

The unfortunate truth is that for either parent to stay at home some sacrifices would have to be made in today's society. Sacrifices that apparantly many are not willing to make in order to keep the family together. But they are not as big as some would have you believe. But it is obvious by this and other posts on this topic you have your opinion and I nor anyone else is going to influence you to look at things differently. Se la Vie.

Many of our current culteral and societal problems lie in the fact that the family unit has been successfully destroyed by the "me" syndrome and greed.

So I shall conclude with this parting statement: On this we will have to agree to disagree.
