Just as indiscriminate as the bloggers
Kind of a broad, sweeping statement that, "Bloggers are:
Totally and completely unaccountable."

There are responsible bloggers who do a better job than professional reporters. There are responsible bloggers who take the time to provide links to their sources. There are bloggers who will at least put quotes and indentations around material they lift from other sources, even though they forget to credit those sources. And of course there are bloggers who forget to do any such thing and take and edit quotes without rhyme, reason, or attribution.

For instance -

Have you heard about the guy who goes under the non de plume of joe6pack_z? the question is is he or she a caffine-aholic because the name starts with joe, or perhaps drinks too much beer as implied by the 6pack, and is an alcoholic?

Let's edit and quote that out of context.

"... joe6pack_z ... is an alcoholic"
