Cutting emmisions is useless

While emmission are a problem and cutting them could help it would only help if at the same time the populations of the world stopped destroy old growth rain forest and started planting more trees.

The problem today is we can't cut emissions fast enough to keep pace with the destruction of the plants filters, old growth forests. As the forests are cut down the earth ability to filter out carbon dioxide is reduced. So even if we do reduce emmisions to 1990 levels as the Kyoto agreement states the earth would not have the trees it had in 1990 and the problem we have will still exist.

Everyone is spending so much time concentrating on emmision that they are missing the big picture. The big picture is not the emmisions it's reducing the earth's ability to deal with green house gases. If the earth can't filter these gases out reducing them does nothing as we still be pushed towards the disaster of global warming.
