There are still millions of lines of new code, plus the old hairball for
backwards compatibility. Yes, they have added safety features on top of that like duct tape and bailing wire to hold things together, but the biggest thing is have a proven system underneath that does not have millions of lines of new code and millions of lines of what has been proven to be bad old code for backward compatibility.
