Interesting Concept
OK so what part of the 50 gazilion dollars am I paid for my product? Everything is worthless until someone/everyone wants it and is willing to pay for it.

Everything was fine when we all dubbed copies of movies and music with our VHS and cassette tape players. The only difference now is that we can all share with many more people. The only option is to pull the plug on the internet. Not going to happen.

I was wondering about requiring a deposit to have a myspace or Utube upload capability. Then when the user uploaded copyrighted material, the user would be fined, and the copyright holder would collect the deposit or a portion of it. That would give each user an incentive to play within the rules. The interest on all the deposits could be used to fund the bandwidth or other related cost reducing aspects of the webhost.

At the same time, anyone uploading interesting original material that becomes popular should receive financial compensation for their work. Why should the webhost get all of the money from the advertisements they sell???
