FCC has for years been off the road!
The FCC has for years been off the road in a ditch but they refuse to call a Towtruck (THE PUBLIC AT LARGE). Years ago I started working in Radio Engineering and had to know so many rules it wasn't funny. The main rules were that I had to maintain the equipment in such a way as to ALWAYS transmit the BEST signal possible. Now the FCC wants to transmit a degraded signal to certain customers to limit their use of the signal (WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?). As far as I am concerned I will always work to transmit and receive the best signal I can as a service to whoever is watching and/or listening. A similar situation happened years ago to AM Radio and the FCC FORCED us to reduce our FM quality transmitted frequency responce so they could crowd more stations into the narrow AM broadcast band. The FCC really needs to get a clue. We don't want less fidelity, we want greater fidelity. I hope the FCC wakes up soon and listens to the people that pay their salaries.
