Unfortunately...
Most Australian web sites, particularly bank sites, are very
IE centric. Some can only be used wtih IE, and despite
please from users, they simply refuse to change their ways.

The Westpac site has a section for rewards points that
requires the download of a Windows DLL - the rest of their
site can be used with any browser. Now how stupid is that?
The paticular DLL only works on XP - so even my Win2k
laptop doesn't get me in.

Microsoft is slowly but surely taking control of the web. It
doesn't matter that the vast majority of sites are standards
compliant and browser agnostic. If enough of the main
commerce sites - banking, shopping, trading - go IE, the
the rest are doomed. And it need only be about 10% to
gain critical mass.

Say goodbye to the "freedom" of the web.
