So why is the Open Source Community not making the most of this opportunity ? Lets move onto MS turf aggressively - for example why not implement a version of the file system that MS has dropped until their release after Longhorn (BlackComb?). Ms would then be either releasing an inferior product ( I know, I know, its inferior already, but "Mr. I Just Wannna use my computer" doesn't appreciate that) or they will have to backtrack and put the new FS back into Longhorn. Either way it has maximum effect because MS will be visibly responding to Linux; They will be the follower.

I know it might not work but I'm tired of waiting around to see what MS are gonna do - sieze the initiative!
