I wonder...
... if Microsoft and Novell will specify the IP being licensed by mutual agreement. That would mean identification of the Microsoft IP in Linux, and acceptance by Novell that it is Microsoft's and present.

This deal is a way for Microsoft to assure that Red Hat has a viable competitor, and one which is friendly. How and why did IBM make the mistake of letting this occur?

Did IBM cut SuSE loose early this year, saving cash but sending Novell to Microsoft?
