Distros are NOT Linux
No one is saying attack Linux, I am saying the other distros. There is a difference.

While we don't have the full wording of the agreement with Novell and MS, you can pretty much assume that like most patent agreements both parties agree to protect the "value" of the patents.

Novell could very well come to MS and say, "We had to give value for value to use your patents and demand that you require the same from the other distros". At that point Microsoft would have no choice but to file a suit against the distro.

Now, would Novell use the court system to their advantage like this? Ummm, yeah.
