And I think we could see SuSE Linux moving in the direction of Apple in terms of future desktop application support from MS. If it is ever going to happen, this is the ideal breeding ground. MS is just not comfortable dealing with the fervently anti-proprietary end of the Linux industry and who can blame them? With Novell, they will have a measure of control AND Novell gets a measure of control in the other direction in return. Thats the way business works in this world and some around here just fail to understand that. If you want to use open source apps there is no problem with that, unless of course those apps happen to step on the legitimate IP of a proprietary vendor, including MS. If you still want to use that technology on Linux, you had better be ready to pay the going price for it, if not, you will never see it made available for Linux.
