MS vs, The World
It's amazing how much momentum the open source community has built up behind itself. One single announcement by MS caused an anti-MS outrage by Red Hat, the open-source forerunner, and all the OS-oriented posters at ZDNet.

No, I don't view these latest news in a positive light either. Still, I've tried to find a benefit to OS community, instead of plain shutting down the MS proposal, just because its made by MS.

We should pay attention to what Friedrich Nietzsche has said: He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. If MS ever tries to make an actual move to benefit the OS community, I'll bet that we will not even consider and look over it before rushing to denounce it.
