I don't like MS SQL server
While MS SQL server is easier to use for a person who is new to Databases it's far from actually being a good enterprise database.

Oracle by far beats MSSQL for midrange and up needs. MSSQL is still only good for the small shops. Not that small is bad or anything, there is a need but in small shops the free stuff often works just as good anyways.

I think the only reason MSSQL is still around is that Microsoft partners have good salesmen selling front end applications that only work with MSSQL Server.
