Please, not more government
The "long-standing tradition of skepticism about governments" is a healthy tradition that grows from the fact that governments usually foul up the very thing they intend to fix. Oh, sure, intentions are always noble, like "the cause of human development" or "the eradication of poverty."

Freedom, not nanny governments, are the solution to these problems. Get oppressive governments out of people's way, allow people to enjoy the fruits of their own hard work, and watch them flourish. UN management of the Internet will only inhibit future progress.

Is there anything the UN doesn't want to govern?

Keep the camel's nose out of the tent.
