Oh but it is so easy
I'm a professor at a graduate school. We have probably 300 students across four programs, and they all access the same computers in three labs.

I'm a IT monkey at a rather small community college. We have about 7000 students accross 6 physical locations and they all access the same computers in around twenty five labs. I am in charge of about ten of those labs.

One computer was constantly poping up crap because students will use it to open unexpected email attachments, download and install crap like toolbars and screensavers and other such stuff... and generally do stupid things.

Our computers are contantly giving students that pesky "access denied" dialog box, because they are constantly trying to do things that they are not allowed to do under the guest accounts they log on as. The only time I ever have to touch my lab computers is when a piece of hardware fails, or a change to the configuration is requested. It has been years since a student has managed to screw up one of my lab computers.

Being a proffessor, it's not your fault. The blame lies with your incompetent IT staff.
