I don't believe you understood my reply, plus you wrote a short paragraph claiming FUD. I replied to person simply stating to switch to Linux. That IS NOT an option for many. Again, all it takes is one component in my architect to be unsupported by Linux and it is not an option. If you run xp or solaris or mandrake in both home and work, great for you, but you possibly don't have any odd components or none that is needed in those other OS. What good is an OS if you can't use all your components that are needed or required? I work for the largest employer in the US and they are totally windows-based. I see absolutely no reason to switch to a poorly supported OS. Some of us are not in it for the fun....
