Keep in mind this was one quarter and it didn't change Apple's position in the race.

2. Dell 17.2%
3. Lenovo 7.8%
4. Acer 6.0%
5. Toshiba 4.2%
U.S. Market Share 3rd Quarter 2006
1. Dell 31.0%
2. HP 22.0%
3. Gateway 6.0%
4. Apple 5.8%
5. Toshiba 4.2%
By the way Acer showed the way by increasing their worldwide share by 34.3%. Gateway who only sells in the U.S. has a larger share then Apple who sells worldwide.
