I am rather curious...
Did your mother not hug you enough when you were young? You have such rage against Linux (**note proper spelling of Linux**).

Another thing, have you forgotten that Linux and all the various BSD's are on the same team? And your vehement attacks on Linux are attacks against your own team. Kinda like good ol' Benedict Arnold. I, as many here I am sure, grow tired of your particular rhetoric in that you attack a system and it's people which in reallity are enjoined on a common thread and basis with FreeBSD, OpenBSD and any other BSD that is out there.

As far as desktop, Linux makes a better choice than *BSD, but on server side even I will concede that *BSD, perticularly OpenBSD, make a more secure and stable choice. Each OS has a place, and a well run shop would have a mix to prevent monoculture destruction.

BSD servers, with a mix of Linux and Windows desktops, hell toss in a couple of Mac's while we are at it. And that is a good thing. You get the best of all worlds:
1 - Applications (Windows, Linux)
2 - Security (BSD, Linux)
3 - Ease of maintainance (Linux / BSD)
4 - Ease of use (Windows, Linux)
5 - Configurability (Linux, BSD)
6 - Ability to recover or even avoid virus's (Linux, BSD, Windows with a lot and I mean a lot of 3rd party help!)

Bottom line is that all systems need to get along and work together. Use each for it's strength and to counter the others weakness.
