Need an ego boost?
You must have low self-esteem and need an ego boost to print a pro-linsux anti-MS article on here. You really want the attention from the linsux fanboys to make yourself feel superior and welcomed in such a small minority of people. Obviously you can't get it elsewhere.

Why your article is flawed...
"Most companies use their file servers to share files and printers. Linux offers a no-cost, secure and reliable alternative to the Windows server."
Tell that to the Gnome.org guys. Their boxes got 0wned while running linsux. Parts of their website have been down for over 2 weeks. I'm glad they are not a business otherwise they would have lost many customers and went bankrupt.

"As a result, we've been seeing an aggressive move from Microsoft-based servers to Linux or other platforms."
Are you really seeing it or is your company trying to force linsux down the throat of others so you can give the false sensation of feeling high and mighty?

"When it comes to Windows server software, it's tough to justify an added expense for an operating system that pretty much does the same thing as before. Try explaining that one to senior management."
Same can be said for linsux. Its been doing the same thing as before. I haven't seen one thing change from now as before except the versions. Functionality is still the same. Heh, justifying the expense? A joke. Don't try to tell me you would set up a client without some type of SLA. I'd drop you as a consultant if these are your types of business practices.
