Security belongs in the code, not in the kernel. Write the code correctly and the majority of security issues that M$ has spent years patching and repatching go away. However, what M$ is calling "security" has no business in an O/S, just as an internet browser has no business in an O/S. If M$ wants to include these things as added value utilities, that's fine; they did this regularly with DOS, but incorporating them into the kernel is nonsense: an O/S is supposed to Operate the System, not operate the internet nor impede the system from operating.
