LD won't admit it, but...
the same thing he's pointing out rightly with Google is the same thing that causes most of Microsoft's problems. Instead of sticking to what they're good at, they try to be everything to everybody. It doesn't work for Microsoft and it won't work for Google. All it will do is diminish the effectiveness of their developers and ultimately result in patches to fix patches to fix patches to fix...well, you get the idea. Look for the same problems that have dogged Microsoft to wreak their havoc on Google. They obviously have learned nothing from anyone elses failures, so they deserve the rocky road ahead.
