Security has 2 purposes
Information Security has 2 purposes:
1. Make certain that people who should have access to information can access it quickly and easily.
2. Make certain that nobody else can access it.

The article states that many people focus on the second purpose, but the returns from the first are great. Phil just uses many more words.

I am glad that Talkback has returned to the editorials. I wanted to post on several of Berlind's editorials. I did email him, but did not receive even an automatic response. Now if ZDNet could just remember how to have Preview, add the ability to read someone's previous posts, and maybe add a moderation system, it would attract a community.
