Jobs is not innocent....
You will not convince me that Steve Jobs, as smart as he is, as business savvy as he is...does not understand the implications of backdating options? That it could be fraudulent/illegal? The guy is too knowledgeable and intelligent for that not to have occurred to him. He doesn't just sit around and run Apple, approving product ideas...the guy knows something about the business end, and he also sits on other boards, where such things must be discussed. Sorry, but I'm not buying the "knew about it, but didn't realize the accounting implications" line. String 'em all up. I'm soooo tired of this whole executive class that think they are the new untouchable aristocracy in this country.
