Attorney Priv: My guess is Sonsini is acting in the best interests of the nation and is being lobied against by the American Bar Association, that being under leadership of his adversary (Bill Neukom) from the Microsoft battles. Those posting to

May well be under the spell of Neukom, who really would like the ethics of Microsoft, to become the Ethics of all corporate lawyers. Sorry, it is not Corporation above Nation. It can never be so. To the extent that California can maintain ethical standards for California Bar association members above those of Neukom's ABA the better.
