- Once upon a time I worked for "The Phone Company." We constantly fielded calls from prisoners who could call our exchange "toll free" and ask us to enter codes which would allow them to enter long-distance exchanges. Also, people would call claiming to be the secretary or assistant to the "CEO" claiming the CEO lost his password, and needed it right away to seal an impeding merger, acquisition, whatever ..
