HP founders would be apalled....
There's one question which, for whatever reason, isn't being asked: if the Board and bureaucracy is willing to walk over Boardmembers's rights to privacy, imagoine what their attitute is towards the privacy of users of mahcines they build. I, for one, wouldn't buy one of their machines for fear that there's a trojan in their code which gives up info I would never give them permission to have.

There's a real need to find out the depth of HP's willingness to use illegal techniques to find out information on machines they sell for "intelligence purposes."
