Hmmmmm, let's think about this..... The CEO reports to the Board of Directors, specifically, the Chairperson. With a relatively new CEO, it would be simple for a longer standing Chairperson to go around the CEO to get things done. Read the article and the transcript. Look at the timeline, it was going on even before he took the job.
