Universal needs to go have a heart to heart with Moby.
Moby licensed his Play album free for any use in movie, TV, commercials etc. As a consequence, Moby went from being a huge techno act, with little to no recognition in the mainstream, to one of the biggest acts of 2000 in any genre. Quite literally, it was the album that made him a star after toiling for years underground.
Maybe, just maybe those millions of copyright infingers on YouTube are the biggest assett Universal has in promoting their catalog. And most likely Universal will be stupid enough to attempt to sue them into submission. - Posted by: shraven Posted on: 09/19/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
