The Public Just Doesn't Get It

Can't the public understand how ludicrous it is that a person can legally misrepresent themselves (pretexting) as an innocent individual, or some other official source, to obtain that individual's private information? It still shocks me after several years of advocating consumers' privacy, that there remains such apathy.

What Patricia Dunn did--and don't be fooled, at that level she should have known what she was doing--is to compromise the privacy of Hewlett Packard's board members and the journalists from the news media. This is just another example of the disregard corporate America has for your sensitive data.
