Common sense dictates that.

Sun is a hardware manufacturer. You buy SPARC server you get Solaris. Sun makes some great hardware and they offer some of the best support around today if not the best. Thier prices are right in line with Dell too.

This is why people buy Sun and it comes with Solaris. Linux isn't even coming close to replacing Solaris. Linux distros are purely software companies so they can't offer what Sun offers. There is no competition there.
