Stupid or lying?
She was stupid AND she lied.

I find it ridiculous that people out there are defending her actions. She was asked to deal with it quietly and within the confines of the board room. She opted to create debacle by taking it to lawyers and private investigators, and don?t tell me that she had no idea where the phone records came from.

If people out there believe that she knew nothing, and that she did not direct the investigators with, ?whatever it takes? find out who was leaking the information, you are more naive than I could have ever imagined.

This was a board room brawl which ended up causing one of the most respected people in the industry and on the HP board to resign in disgust. Then he had to make public his reasons for his resignation because of the HP board?s dishonesty in their announcement of his resignation.
