Doom and Gloom Not
Us economy will collapse yada yada yada. I heard that crap over and over again by a bunch of self important lazy twits for the last twenty years and nothing seems to happen and the job market still is growing stung.
Ditch the entitlement mentality, nobody owes a person a job, the person who?s responsible to make sure you needs to be provided is not the rich or politicians but only you! If one are too stupid to figure where the jobs are at tough **** enjoy life on the streets. We have not been losing job as much as the job market is shifting form a manufacturing base to a service based economy and service does not mean McDonalds. Service based means instead of manufacturing the job are the design, marketing, transpiration (from factory to store) goods. My nephew will not be working $7.00 job spending all day putting 10 screws into a block, he might be the one designing the block or sitting in an air condition office making sure some factory in China makes x amount of product and insure the product get on the right ship, truck, warehouse to make it for a sale in a store across country. That still of lot of US infrastructure form the long shore man to the guy figuring where the place to product and tack sales data for corporate. There still a lot of technology jobs needed to make what I describe happen.
As for me I am a survivor I have dopes like you for lunch. I live in Oregon and if layoff is other than marketing and IT I will be hurting. So push comes to shove I have been contacted about opportunities in Saudi Arabia, I might take them up, I might be open to Afghanistan or Iraq. If I want to play it safe, there always Schneider National, I here there hiring and training mature (50 year old +) workers to drive 18 wheelers. A young pup like me should have no problem.
