- Does Intel need an IT Department?

When a company has lower sales, I can see that it would be the right time to reduce the number of people attempting to sell products.
When a company has internal disruption from layoffs, I can see it would be the right time to reduce the number of people managing.
So I suppose that when a company is selling off pieces to concentrate on its core business, I can see that it would be the right time to reduce the number of people working on IT.
