Please explain how marketing and sales jobs require the construction of fabrication plants. To quote the article: "The job cut is likely to weigh particularly heavily on marketing staff." Before you start criticizing, it would be nice if you had the facts. These people may not be necessary, but don't think that Intel (or AMD or IBM or Dell or...) would hesitate to ship those jobs overseas if they thought there was a cost advantage. Of course, it doesn't always work out that way, but American corporations haven't had the best track record recently for making effective business decisions. Maybe we should keep the workers here and outsource the managerial jobs to see how that works.
