Greenpeace and others can be bad for the environment, too
Navy sends 5 warships out to test a missle, Greenpeace disrupts it, Navy reschedules, now burning twice the fuel for the same test.

Group thows red paint on person wearing fur, person now goes out and buys a replacemnt, resulting in killing of more animals.

These antics don't change peoples minds (though they DO get you publicity, and therfore, more money) and only result in using more of the resources they claim they are trying to protect.
