Totally mistaken "sense" of direction
We aren't afraid of outsourcing to meet a demand that can't be satisfied otherwise. The following statement is WHY we are angry with the trend:

"There is a shortage of good software folks in the UK and the United States?-demand seems to have outstripped supply."

This is absolutely false, and anyone who works and has friends in this industry knows there are hundreds of thousands of American and British IT professionals itching to work. The supply of good workers IS there, but with the current trend of greed, companies are hiring abroad for pennies on the dollar. These companies are turning their backs on the unemployed, many of whom were part of what made these companies what they are today.

Economists who predict that this is good for economies but have absolutely no vision for where employment will come from make me want to vomit. Last I checked that was called blind optimism.

It's a shame that even in a commentary the proponents of outsourcing will completely gloss over the truth and lie. We're sickened by coporations turning their backs on the people who really want to work. But we aren't afraid.
