- Aluminum foil hats

I have a passport case. I have a nickel's worth of aluminum foil. I wrap the aluminum foil around the passport cover, and insert the passport. When I have to present the passport to the officer, I take it out of the folder.
I know it's a stupid workaround, and that there will be more "elegant" commercial products that do the same thing. But it's what I can do, and it will work, at least until the government MANDATES that I must carry my passport everywhere, and that it MUST be electronically readable everywhere.
