Good move: no reason Xbox development should be limited to big companies
Traditionally, getting access to video game console SDKs and development tools have required you to pay a lot of money and be a big company with a track record of shipping quality games. Good to see Microsoft trying to open this up a bit for hobbyists and small businesses.

Reminds me of IBM charging hundreds of dollars for the OS/2 SDK. Microsoft decided to make their SDK free, and this helped open up the market and helped give Windows an advantage. Looks like something similar may happen with the Xbox 360 in its competition with other consoles.
